Police are investigating the motive of Saepul (26), who was arrested\nfor the murder and mutilation of a man identified as K (51) at a rented\nhouse in Cipayung, Depok. The suspect and victim were acquainted through\nsocial media.<\/p>\n

However, facts have\nemerged suggesting the suspect is a homosexual,\u201d Ipda Breggy said on\nWednesday (5\/8\/2026).<\/p>\n
Breggy added that the victim and the suspect only knew each other\nthrough social media. \u201cThe relationship between the suspect and the\nvictim was merely an acquaintance, nothing more,\u201d he added. Saepul was\narrested in the Pandeglang area, Banten, at 4.15 a.m. local time by the\nSubdit Resmob Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya team. During the arrest,\npolice seized evidence belonging to the victim that was in the suspect\u2019s\npossession. \u201cAmong the evidence we secured were the victim\u2019s mobile\nphone and money from the sale of the victim\u2019s phone and motorcycle,\u201d he\nstated.<\/p>\n
In a video recording obtained by journalists, the suspect confessed\nhe was upset after being slapped by the victim during an argument. The\nsuspect retaliated by stabbing the victim in the abdomen and neck. \u201cI\nstruggled, then he slapped me. I pushed him, I wanted to scream, then I\nwas pushed down the stairs. Once I was pushed down, I grabbed a knife\nand stabbed him in this area (the waist),\u201d Saepul said in the video\nrecording.<\/p>\n
Saepul\u2019s anger peaked when the victim fought back. He then stabbed\nthe victim in the stomach, causing injury. \u201cThen he struggled again,\nkicking me. I got even angrier. I just held his head; his hands couldn\u2019t\nfight back because he was holding his stomach. I held his head and slit\nhis throat,\u201d he revealed. Saepul admitted to mutilating the body because\nhe was unable to carry the corpse. He mutilated the victim to eliminate\nevidence. \u201cBecause it was difficult to carry him. The area was crowded\nwith people and housing,\u201d Saepul said when asked about the reason for\nthe mutilation.
