        "content": "<p>JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Police will investigate allegations of fraud by\nwedding organiser Marwah Catering Service in Cakung, East Jakarta.\nSenior Police Commissioner Bayu Kurniawan, head of the East Jakarta\nMetropolitan Police\u2019s Criminal Investigation Unit, said officers will\nexamine the office of the wedding organiser reported by a newlywed\ncouple from Bekasi, West Java, Aldi (32) and Feny (32). \u201cThe victims\nonly reported the case yesterday evening. A police report has been\nfiled, so we will conduct an initial investigation. We plan to check\ntheir office at JGC first,\u201d Bayu stated in a WhatsApp message on Monday\n(25 May 2026). \u201cThe victims had a fitting at the JGC office. We need to\nverify if the office even exists there,\u201d he added. Bayu explained that\npolice have sought clarification from three individuals regarding the\nalleged fraud case involving the Cakung wedding organiser. \u201cWe have\nclarified statements from three witnesses, comprising the married couple\nand the bride\u2019s sibling,\u201d he said. Previously, the Bekasi-based\nnewlyweds Aldi (32) and Feny (32) reported Marwah, a wedding organiser\nbased in Cakung, East Jakarta, to the East Jakarta Metropolitan Police\nRegional Office over alleged fraud on Sunday (24 May 2026) evening. Aldi\nstated that Marwah Catering Service failed to fulfil its obligations in\nproviding the wedding reception package despite the full payment of IDR\n85 million. \u201cAll evidence is digital. Chats, all transactions, signed\nstatements, photos\u2014all are available from the owner,\u201d Aldi said at the\nEast Jakarta Metropolitan Police Regional Office on Sunday evening.<\/p>",
