Badung Police Chief AKBP Joseph Edward Purba confirmed the\nincident involving a firearm, stating that his team had acted swiftly\nand the perpetrator had been identified through CCTV footage obtained by\nthe police. He also confirmed that two patrons sustained injuries\nsuspected to be from gunfire. \u201cThe incident is now being handled by the\nBadung Police Criminal Investigation Unit after management reported\nalleged criminal acts related to firearms, ammunition, explosives, and\nother weapons, as well as assault,\u201d he said. Based on police report\nnumber LP\/B\/173\/VII\/2026\/SPKT\/POLRES BADUNG\/POLDA BALI dated 17 July\n2026, the incident was first discovered around 2.00 a.m. local time. Hotel staff and other patrons evacuated the victims to\nhospital. The first victim was identified as I Made Yudhi Madyastawan,\n32, a local resident, who sustained a wound to his left thigh.
