Police hunt maid's killers<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): Police are still hunting the four robbers who
\nmurdered a housemaid Wednesday and kidnapped two women in Pluit,
\nNorth Jakarta, an officer said yesterday.<\/p>\n
City Police Spokesman Lt. Col. E. Aritonang said the police
\nhad already identified the suspects.<\/p>\n
\"So far, the police are only naming the four men as suspects.
\nBut there are possibilities that other people, particularly those
\nwho knew the victims, could also be named as suspects,\" Aritonang
\ntold The Jakarta Post.<\/p>\n
The housemaid killed by the four men was identified as Ati,
\nwhile the kidnapped women were Ati's employers Linda, 47, and
\nFung Yu Moi, 70.<\/p>\n
According to Aritonang, Ati was killed because she saw the
\nrobbers jump over the fence into the house's front garden.<\/p>\n
\"The robbers slashed her in her waist, stomach and ear with
\nsickles soon after they approached the panicking Ati, who was
\nscreaming for help,\" Aritonang said.<\/p>\n
He said that the robbers went into the house and tied up three
\nof Linda's children in the shower.<\/p>\n
The four men then forced Linda to give them her money,
\njewelry, and mobile phones.<\/p>\n
Aritonang said that the men later took away Linda and her
\nmother Fung Yu Moi in Linda's car and left them on the street in
\nLemahabang, Bekasi, West Java.<\/p>\n
Aritonang said that Linda did not make a phone call to her
\nhome as was reported by many newspapers yesterday. The reality
\nwas that she asked passersby to call the local police.<\/p>\n
\"The Lemahabang police then contacted the Penjaringan police
\nto check Linda's house, while Linda's children also reported the
\nincident to the Penjaringan police,\" Aritonang said.<\/p>\n
Aritonang said that Linda and her mother were unharmed and
\nreturned home safely on Thursday. (27)<\/p>",
