Police detain thug Basri Sangaji<\/p>\n
JAKARTA: The city police officially detained last Saturday a
\nthug, identified as Basri Sangaji, following a brawl in the
\nKemang area, South Jakarta, between the suspect's gang and
\nanother, led by notorious hoodlum Hercules.<\/p>\n
City police spokesman Sr. Comr. Anton Bachrul Alam
\nacknowledged that Basri had been detained due to the death of a
\nman from Hercules' gang, identified as Samsi S. Tuasah.<\/p>\n
Anton claimed the suspect had also been arrested because Basri
\nstabbed Hercules in the brawl three weeks ago.<\/p>\n
Samsi died from gunshot wounds after the brawl. It was still
\nunclear who shot the victim since police are still searching for
\nthe gun.<\/p>\n
A debt problem between two businessmen, identified as Paul and
\nTeme, was believed to be behind the brawl between the two gangs.<\/p>\n
East Timorese Hercules had earlier pledged to take action
\nagainst Basri if the police failed to arrest the suspect. Antara<\/p>",
