The denial\nwas delivered directly by Surakarta Police Chief, Commissioner Catur\nCahyono Wibowo, to the crowd of protesters.<\/p>\n<p>CNNIndonesia.com observed Catur walking towards the crowd shortly\nbefore they dispersed. His arrival was greeted by a student leading the\nprotest. \u201cFriends, here is the Surakarta Police Chief among us. Let us\nask why our two colleagues were arrested earlier,\u201d the student said. \u201cNo\none was detained, no one was kidnapped,\u201d Catur replied briefly before\nwalking away.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, Surakarta Police Public Relations Head, AKP Lingga\nRamadhani, confirmed that no participants were taken into custody. \u201cWe\nwant to clarify the circulating narrative that we secured someone.\nAlhamdulillah, so far there have been none,\u201d Lingga said after the\nprotest. \u201cAll the protesters have now begun to disperse and not a single\none was secured by the Surakarta Police.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The demonstration in front of the Solo DPRD building had earlier\nheated up after police reportedly picked up two participants.
