Police claim enough evidence on Gunawan plot<\/p>\n

City police chief detectives Sr. Comr. Mathius Salempang revealed
\non Tuesday that police had collected sufficient evidence to
\ncharge businessman Gunawan Santosa for the murder of PT Aneka
\nSakti Bakti (Asaba) president director Boedyharto Angsono on July
\n19.<\/p>\n
\"So we won't have to depend on Gunawan's statements to confirm
\nhis involvement in the murder as we have gathered sufficient
\nevidence,\" Mathius told The Jakarta Post. He did not specify what
\nevidence the police had.<\/p>\n
Gunawan, who was arrested last Friday in a rented room on Jl.
\nGunung Sahari, Central Jakarta, has been named a suspect for
\nallegedly masterminding the fatal shooting of his former father-
\nin-law, Boedyharto, and his bodyguard, an active member of the
\nArmy's Special Forces (Kopassus), Second Sgt. Edy Siyep.<\/p>\n
He has also been accused of shooting PT Asaba finance director
\nPaulus Tejakusuma on June 5. Paulus was critically wounded.<\/p>\n
Four marines allegedly hired to kill Boedyharto reportedly
\nadmitted to being paid for Rp 4 million to kill Boedyharto, but
\npolice sources said that Gunawan had transferred Rp 200 million
\nto an account belong to one of the marines just two days after
\nthe shooting.<\/p>\n
Officer Mathius revealed that the police had finished quizzing
\nthe four marines.<\/p>\n
\"We only need their statements to complete the dossier on
\nGunawan Santosa concerning the latter's involvement in the
\nmurder,\" he said.<\/p>\n
Six police investigators were sent on Sunday to the Navy's
\nmilitary police base in Cilangkap, East Jakarta, where the
\nmarines are being detained, to quiz the four -- identified only
\nas Second Lt. SAS, Second Corp. SR, Second Corp. FH and First
\nPvt. SS. All four are members of Marine Infantry Brigade 2, based
\nin Cilandak, South Jakarta.<\/p>\n
The four have been detained since July 31.<\/p>\n
Mathius refused to say whether police investigators would
\nconfront Gunawan with the marines.<\/p>\n
\"That's up to the investigators,\" he said.<\/p>\n
On Tuesday, the police grilled a witness named Marta, 39, an
\nemployee of the Elise Salon in Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta, who
\nhelped Gunawan find a plastic surgeon.<\/p>\n
\"He only came once to the Elise Salon. He asked me to reshape
\nhis eyebrows. Then he asked me about a plastic surgeon, and I
\nrecommended him to Dr. Affandi,\" said Marta.<\/p>\n
He claimed that he was no longer in contact with Gunawan after
\nhe sent Gunawan to the Tria Dipa Hospital in Pancoran for plastic
\nsurgery.<\/p>\n
He recalled that Gunawan went to his salon on Jan 20, only
\nfive days after he had escaped from Kuningan Penitentiary, where
\nhe was serving a two-year, six-month prison sentence for
\nembezzlement.<\/p>",
