        "content": "<p>Tangerang - The Indonesian National Police have stated that the\nIndonesia Safety Driving Center (ISDC) serves as a centre for enhancing\npublic competence in driving safely, comfortably, and in accordance with\ntraffic regulations.<\/p>\n<p>Kompol Turino, head of the Four-Wheeled Driving Team at the Police\nEducation and Training Centre\u2019s Traffic Division, said ISDC functions as\nan education and training hub for public road safety.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cParticularly regarding traffic education, ISDC serves as an\neducation and training centre to enhance the competence and character of\nparticipants, whilst building public awareness so they can drive safely,\nobey the law, and act responsibly,\u201d Kompol Turino said when met in\nTangerang, Banten, on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, despite the continuous advancement of vehicle\ntechnology with increasingly sophisticated safety features, driver\nknowledge, operational skills, and maturity remain primary factors in\nroad safety.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe recognise that current automotive technology development has\nintroduced increasingly sophisticated safety features. However, no\nmatter how advanced such technology is, maximum protection can only be\nachieved if drivers remain disciplined, alert, and comply with traffic\nregulations,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The collaboration is also expected to help build a safety culture in\nthe automotive industry whilst supporting the government\u2019s programme to\nreduce accident rates through enhanced driving awareness.<\/p>\n<p>On the same occasion, BMW Group Indonesia President Director Peter\nMedalla stated that this activity demonstrates that BMW vehicle\nperformance always runs alongside driver responsibility.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThrough the BMW Safety Driving Masterclass today, BMW shows that\nhigh performance always goes hand in hand with responsibility and full\ncontrol in every driving condition.
