        "content": "<p>The Indonesian National Police (Polri) in principle will promptly\nfollow up on the proposals that we believe will continue to improve the\ninstitution of Polri,\u201d said General Sigit at the Presidential Palace in\nCentral Jakarta on Tuesday (5\/5\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>Several recommendations from the Police Reform Acceleration\nCommission include strengthening the National Police Commission\n(Kompolnas) and the governance of Polri. General Sigit stated that his\nside will follow up on all recommendations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cStrengthening Kompolnas will of course be part of what we will\nimplement immediately. Placement outside the structure will be discussed\nsoon with the Coordinating Minister for Law.
