        "content": "<p>Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo predicts that the peak\nreturn flow for Eid al-Fitr 1446 Hijriah will begin on 24 March 2026.\nThis follows the outbound flow trend that has been ongoing since 18\nMarch, with a 4.26% increase in vehicle volume compared to last\nyear.<\/p>\n<p>The prediction was conveyed by the Police Chief while monitoring\nsecurity for the takbiran night alongside TNI Commander General Agus\nSubiyanto and North Sumatra Deputy Governor Surya at the Integrated Post\nin Merdeka Field, Medan, on Friday (20\/3).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe peak return flow is predicted to start on 24 March 2026,\u201d Listyo\nstated.<\/p>\n<p>On that occasion, the Police Chief appreciated the 3.23% decrease in\ntraffic accident fatalities during this year\u2019s outbound period.<\/p>\n<p>Nevertheless, he emphasised the importance of vigilance for drivers\nto avoid overexerting themselves during the journey.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe advise outbound travellers to remain cautious. Utilise rest areas\nand integrated posts for breaks. Do not rush, as it endangers safety,\u201d\nListyo said.<\/p>\n<p>To address potential extreme weather, Polri has coordinated with BMKG\nto conduct weather modification operations.<\/p>\n<p>Listyo instructed all task force units at integrated posts to\npromptly anticipate risks of flooding or landslides along the outbound\nroutes.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, to ease return flow density, the government suggests\nutilising the Work From Anywhere (WFA) programme from 25 to 27 March\n2026.
