        "content": "<p>Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo has ensured the readiness\nof all personnel to secure the Eid exodus and return journey for Eid\nal-Fitr 2026. A total of 161,243 combined personnel will be deployed\nduring Operation Ketupat 2026.<\/p>\n<p>A coordination meeting was held at the Mutiara Auditorium, Police\nScience and Education Institute (STIK-PTIK) Police Training Centre on\nMonday, 2 March 2026. With the theme \u201cSafe Journey, Happy Family,\u201d\nGeneral Sigit sat alongside various ministers and heads of institutions\nto align security measures.<\/p>\n<p>Several high-ranking state officials attended the meeting, including\nCoordinating Minister for Human Development and Cultural Affairs\nPratikno, Religious Affairs Minister Nasaruddin Umar, Trade Minister\nBudi Santoso, and Transportation Minister Dudy Purwagandhi. Also present\nwere the Deputy Commander for Operations of the Armed Forces, the Head\nof the National Disaster Management Authority, the Head of the\nMeteorology and Geophysics Agency, and directors of state-owned\nenterprises including Pertamina, Jasa Marga, and Jasa Raharja.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting was attended by 302 participants in person, including 28\nheadquarters-level Police Coordination Units and 36 provincial police\nchiefs from across Indonesia. In the structure of Operation Ketupat\n2026, Police Chief General Listyo Sigit serves as the Operation Policy\nAuthority, assisted by Deputy Police Chief Komjen Dedi Prasetyo as\nDeputy Authority. Technically, the operation will be led by Police\nTraffic Command Chief Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho as the Chief\nof Main Operations. All officials of Operation Ketupat 2026 were present\nat the meeting.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, precinct police chiefs and regional executive forums\nparticipated in the meeting virtually to ensure central instructions\nwere conveyed to the regional level.<\/p>\n<p>In his presentation, the Police Chief emphasised the importance of\nsynergy and collaboration with all stakeholders to serve the community\ntravelling for Eid al-Fitr 1447 H celebrations. This aligns with the\n2026 travel tagline, \u201cSafe Journey, Happy Family.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTherefore, security preparations must be executed optimally, along\nwith the services provided,\u201d said General Sigit.<\/p>\n<p>Total personnel involved numbered 161,243 individuals. This comprised\n89,228 Police personnel and 72,015 personnel from related agencies such\nas the Armed Forces, Transportation Offices, Civil Police, and community\norganisations. General Sigit explained that the deployment of combined\npersonnel was to oversee the movement of the community, predicted to\nreach 143.9 million people.<\/p>\n<p>Based on survey data from the Ministry of Transportation, the\nmajority of travellers will use private vehicles and motorcycles as the\nprimary mode of transport.<\/p>\n<p>To support field security, the Police have prepared thousands of\nposts stationed at strategic locations. There are a total of 2,746\nposts, consisting of 1,624 Security Posts, 779 Service Posts, and 343\nIntegrated Posts.<\/p>\n<p>The security focus extends beyond ensuring smooth traffic flow on\ntoll roads and arterial routes, but also includes 121,803 mosques for\nEid prayer services and more than 4,000 tourist destinations predicted\nto be inundated with visitors during the Eid holiday period.<\/p>\n<p>In his presentation, the Police Chief also warned of several critical\nbottleneck points, particularly on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road at Km\n48 (the MBZ descent) and the Kalikangkung Toll Gate at Km 414.\nConsequently, traffic management schemes such as one-way traffic, contra\nflow, and odd-even regulations have been prepared in accordance with a\nJoint Decision Letter.<\/p>\n<p>Operation Ketupat 2026 is planned to be conducted from mid-March\n2026, aligned with the prediction of peak traffic during the first wave\nof the exodus, estimated to occur on 14-15 March.<\/p>",
