Police called on to settle PKB row<\/p>\n
JAKARTA: The National Police are processing a complaint lodged
\nby Alwi Shihab's National Awakening Party (PKB) against Matori
\nAbdul Djalil, who heads the party's splinter group, for allegedly
\nfalsifying the party's letterhead and seal.<\/p>\n
Mohammad Tohadi, who heads the human rights and legal division
\nof the PKB faction loyal to former foreign minister Alwi, said on
\nSunday that the police would soon call upon representatives of
\nboth PKB factions for clarification on the matter.<\/p>\n
The complaint followed an incident on May 13, when Matori and
\nhis PKB colleague Abdul Khalik Ahmad sent an official letter to
\nthe House of Representatives (DPR), demanding that chief of the
\nPKB faction in the House, Ali Masykur Moesa, be replaced by
\ndeputy secretary Susono Jusuf.<\/p>\n
Tohadi said the letter was on a party letterhead and stamped
\nwith the seal that were both claimed by Alwi's camp.<\/p>\n
According to Tohadi, Abdul Khalik had forged the signature of
\nSusono in the letter. Susono himself has formally protested this
