        "content": "<p>Police burn contraband<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): Ciputat Police in South Jakarta destroyed on<br>\nTuesday 151.3 kilograms of dry marijuana leaves, confiscated from<br>\nfive suspected drug dealers on Jl. Nyai Dasimah in the Sawah Lama<br>\nvillage of Ciputat, Tangerang, in December last year.<\/p>\n<p>South Jakarta police chief Col. Nono Suprijono said that the<br>\nCriminal Code Procedure states that law enforcement agencies<br>\nshould destroy any dangerous or poisonous goods seized as soon as<br>\nwe arrest the suspects.<\/p>\n<p>He cited Article 45 of the Criminal Code Procedure and Article<br>\n53 of Law No. 5\/1997 on psychotropic drugs.<\/p>\n<p>The law, however, stresses that police or other law<br>\nenforcement officials are required to destroy drugs seven days<br>\nafter they confiscate them.<\/p>\n<p>Ciputat police chief, Capt. Helvi Assegaf, identified the five<br>\nsuspects as Sunardi bin Rajali, Samsyul Bahri bin Ruslan, Rahmadi<br>\nbin Sakuat, Anhar bun Ramli and Husaini bin Sulaiman.<\/p>\n<p>\"Anhar and Husaini were each shot in the leg, when they tried<br>\nto flee during the raid,\" he said.
