        "content": "<p>The Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police (Polda Metro Jaya) have\narrested three suspects for the alleged exploitation of children\ninvolved in the unrest at Pejompongan Raya, Central Jakarta, on 27\nAugust.<\/p>\n<p>The Director of Women and Children Protection (PPA) and Protection of\nVictims (PPO) of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Rita Wulandari Wibowo,\nrevealed that the three suspects, identified by the initials B, N, and\nP, allegedly lured dozens of children with payments of approximately\nRp55,000.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere are three individuals, namely B, N, and P. They were\nidentified based on evidence that we have analysed. There are several\nchildren involved, and there are indications of economic exploitation,\u201d\nsaid Rita during a press conference at Polda Metro Juaya on Saturday\n(12\/9).<\/p>\n<p>Rita explained that the modus operandi of the three perpetrators\ninvolved provoking children and enticing them with varying amounts of\nmoney.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey influenced and provoked children to be involved in protest\nactivities with the lure of a certain amount of money. One perpetrator,\nknown as B or F, has successfully recruited 53 children,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, the suspect with the initial N is said to have recruited\n22 children, each promised a payment of Rp50,000.<\/p>\n<p>The final suspect, identified by the initial P, reportedly managed to\ngather 8 children, who were promised Rp40,000 each.<\/p>\n<p>Rita also stated that the three perpetrators derived economic profit\nfrom their actions. Based on initial police investigations, suspect B\ngained a profit of Rp2,350,000, N gained Rp842,500, and P gained\nRp250,000.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHowever, this is only based on the visible evidence. There are\nseveral matters we need to investigate further, as there may be other\ntransactions that require further proof,\u201d Rita added.<\/p>",
