The Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police (Polda Metro Jaya) have\narrested three individuals involved in the destruction of closed-circuit\ntelevision (CCTV) monitoring facilities belonging to the Jakarta\nProvincial Government during demonstrations near the DPR\/MPR RI complex\nin Senayan, Jakarta, last Thursday (27\/8).<\/p>\n
Head of Public Relations for Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Budi\nHermanto, stated that the identification of these perpetrators resulted\nfrom further investigations conducted by the Criminal Investigation\nDirectorate of Polda Metro Jaya regarding the damage to the Jakarta\nProvincial Government\u2019s monitoring infrastructure.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn the latest development, three more individuals were taken into\ncustody by the Criminal Investigation Directorate starting from last\nnight and this morning,\u201d Budi said during a press conference at the\nMetro Jaya Regional Police Headquarters in Jakarta on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
The three suspects are identified by the initials FR, MH, and FM.<\/p>\n
Budi explained that the arrest of these three individuals is an\nextension of the investigation that had previously identified 44 people\nas suspects in the case of the destruction of the Jakarta government\u2019s\nCCTV monitoring facilities.<\/p>\n
With the addition of these three individuals, investigators are\ncontinuing their deep-dive analysis to confirm the specific roles and\ninvolvement of each perpetrator in the CCTV destruction incident.<\/p>\n
\u201cBased on our findings, the three newly detained individuals played a\nrole in the destruction that occurred in front of the DPR-MPR RI\nBuilding,\u201d Budi noted.<\/p>\n
However, Budi has not yet detailed the identities or the specific\nactions of the three individuals, as investigators are still conducting\nexaminations and further inquiries.<\/p>\n
Budi assured that updates regarding the progress of the case would be\ncommunicated to the public and the media once investigators have\nobtained more complete information.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the Head of the Jakarta Provincial Communication,\nInformatics, and Statistics Office (Diskominfotik), Marulina Dewi,\nexpressed regret over the destruction of several CCTV cameras in the\ncapital during the protests on Thursday (27\/8).<\/p>\n
