Police have revealed that a child was among the victims of sexual\nexploitation in Lokasari, West Jakarta. A pimp with the initials RS (40)\nhas been arrested.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are reporting on a case we uncovered in the Lokasari area, West\nJakarta. The modus operandi and motive are the same, namely sexual and\neconomic exploitation,\u201d said the Director of Women and Children\nProtection and Human Trafficking Crime at Polda Metro Jaya, Senior\nCommissioner Rita Wulandari Wibowo, during a press conference on\nWednesday (8\/7\/2026).<\/p>\n
Senior Commissioner Rita stated there were five victims in this case.\nFour were adults, and one was a minor.<\/p>\n
\u201cFrom this case, we have secured five victims, one child and four\nadults,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n
She said the five victims are suffering from health problems. In this\ncase, the police also involved the DKI Jakarta Integrated Service Centre\nfor the Empowerment of Women and Children (UPT PPA) to conduct\nassessments, provide assistance, and carry out psychological\nexaminations of the victims.<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd also, these five victims are experiencing medical health\nproblems, requiring more intensive treatment. In handling this, ladies\nand gentlemen, we involved the UPT PPA to conduct assessments and also\nprovide assistance and psychological examinations,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n
Rita explained that one person, a pimp with the initials RS (40), was\narrested. According to the victims\u2019 statements, they were sexually\nexploited.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs for the perpetrator, we have secured one suspect whom they refer\nto as the coordinator or \u2018mami\u2019, aged 40, with the initials RS,\u201d she\nsaid.<\/p>\n
\u201cAll five of them have acknowledged and their statements are\ninterconnected, stating that they were recruited by the female suspect\nRS. All five were also sexually exploited,\u201d she concluded.<\/p>\n
The information went viral on social media, as seen by detikcom on\nMonday (25\/5). The viral post narrated that the circulating video was\nrecorded by a Japanese national.<\/p>\n
The person recording the video appeared to be approached by several\nindividuals suspected of offering prostitution services.
