        "content": "<p>Palembang (ANTARA) - The Ogan Komering Ilir (OKI) Resort Police in\nSouth Sumatra have arrested a man suspected of assembling and storing\nillegal firearms in Berkat Village, SP Padang District, OKI Regency,\nduring Operation Senpi Musi 2026.<\/p>\n<p>OKI Police Chief AKBP Eko Rubiyanto stated in a written release\nreceived in Palembang on Tuesday that the case came to light following\npublic information regarding homemade firearms production in the area.\nActing on the report, the Criminal Investigation Unit\u2019s General Crimes\nOpsnal Team conducted an investigation and raided the suspect\u2019s house on\nMonday at around 6:00 a.m. local time.<\/p>\n<p>During the operation, officers detained a man identified by the\ninitial N (60), who is alleged to have illegally produced homemade\nfirearms at his residence. Based on initial examination, the suspect\nadmitted that all the firearms found were his own handiwork.<\/p>\n<p>Police subsequently seized a number of items as evidence, including\ntwo long-barrelled homemade firearms with wooden grips, one\nshort-barrelled homemade revolver-type firearm, six rounds of ammunition\nof various calibres, one bullet casing, two Molotov cocktail bottles,\none catapult with eight arrows, and two grinding machines suspected to\nhave been used to assemble the firearms.<\/p>\n<p>For his actions, the suspect has been charged under Article 306 of\nLaw Number 1 of 2023 concerning the Criminal Code, which relates to the\npossession, manufacture, storage, and control of firearms and ammunition\nwithout authorisation.<\/p>",
