This indication emerged after the police conducted a\nthorough analysis of the characteristics of the evidence found washed up\non that beach. East Java Police Chief Inspector General Nanang Avianto\nstated that his team is mapping the dark trade routes entering\nIndonesian waters. \u201cWe are analysing the network from cocaine data in\nColombia. This is strong evidence of an international dark trade route\nentering our waters,\u201d Nanang said in Surabaya on Tuesday (5\/5). Nanang\nexplained that the entry of 22.226 kilograms of pure cocaine is an\nunusual phenomenon. Unlike methamphetamine or ecstasy, which commonly\ncirculate in East Java, cocaine has a much higher economic value and a\nvery specific market. The use of the Sumenep coastal area is suspected\nto be a strategy by the international network to avoid detection by\nauthorities. The long coastline and remote conditions of the area\nprovide a loophole for the entry of the illicit goods. \u201cCoastal areas\nthat are relatively quieter are actually vulnerable to being used as\nsmuggling routes. Given its fantastic\nvalue, the East Java Police are pushing for the acceleration of the\ndestruction of the evidence to avoid potential misuse by irresponsible\nparties. \u201cThis item has an enticing value, so it must be destroyed\nimmediately to prevent misuse,\u201d he said. Currently, the East Java Police\nhave coordinated with National Police Headquarters to develop the\ninvestigation and uncover the actors behind the shipment of Colombian\ncocaine.
