The General Criminal Investigation Directorate (Ditreskrimum) of the\nMetro Jaya Regional Police is continuing asset tracing related to the\nalleged fraud case involving the umrah travel agency, Hanania Group.\nThis measure is being taken with the hope that the seized assets can\neventually be used to send the victims to the Holy Land.<\/p>\n
\u201cHopefully, this can be one of our efforts to recover the victims\u2019\nlosses, or can be used by the victims to reduce their losses, or even\nour hope is that it can become an effort to send the victims back,\u201d said\nthe Director of General Criminal Investigation of Metro Jaya Regional\nPolice, Kombes Pol Iman Imanuddin, in Jakarta on Tuesday (30\/6).<\/p>\n
Iman explained that based on the current analysis by investigators,\nsome of the suspect\u2019s assets have been seized, while others have been\nsecured in several regions. However, these assets are known to be\nregistered under the names of other individuals in order to disguise\ntheir origin of ownership.<\/p>\n
The identified assets consist of both movable and immovable property.\n\u201cThere are movable assets and immovable assets. There is land, there are\nbuildings, and there are also vehicles,\u201d he said. One significant asset\nwas found in the Semarang area, Central Java, in the form of a plot of\nland. The police are currently coordinating so that this asset can be\nconverted into a solution for the departure of the victimised\npilgrims.<\/p>\n
Iman emphasised the police\u2019s commitment to not only stop at the\ncriminal law enforcement process against the suspect but also to focus\non the maximum recovery of the victims\u2019 rights.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe will not stop merely demanding accountability for the suspect\u2019s\nactions, but we are also striving as much as possible to assist in the\nrecovery of the victims\u2019 losses,\u201d Iman asserted.<\/p>\n
Investigators are currently focusing on tracing the assets belonging\nto the boss of Hanania Travel, a suspect with the initials ASF (30),\nboth in his personal capacity and under the company name. The\ninvestigation is also being expanded to parties affiliated with the\nsuspect.<\/p>\n
Based on preliminary investigation results, the initial estimate of\nlosses in this case reaches Rp95.22 billion. As an initial security\nmeasure, the police have blocked three main accounts used by the\nsuspect, both under the company and personal names.<\/p>\n
The General Criminal Investigation Directorate of Metro Jaya Regional\nPolice is prioritising the asset tracing of PT Khazanah Tamma\nInternational, also known as Hanania Group. The suspect, ASFR (30), will\nbe charged with embezzlement.<\/p>\n
