The Indonesia Excellence Good Corporate Governance Ethics in Creating
Impactful Business through Inclusive Financial System award at the
Indonesia Excellence GCG Awards 2026 recognises PT Permodalan Nasional
Madani (PNM)‘s commitment to ethical, transparent, and socially
impactful corporate governance. Through the Danantara spirit of
’Melayani Sepenuh Hati’ (Serving Wholeheartedly), PNM continues to
expand access to inclusive financial services for grassroots
communities, particularly underprivileged women who are ultra-micro
entrepreneurs. As of May 2026, PNM serves more than 23.3 million
underprivileged women across Indonesia through sustainable financing and
empowerment programmes. This award reflects that good governance is not
only realised in corporate compliance and accountability, but also in
efforts to deliver tangible benefits to society. Through three
empowerment capitals—Financial Capital in the form of financing access,
Intellectual Capital through Business Capacity Development (PKU), and
Social Capital through Weekly Group Meetings—PNM continues to strengthen
the economic resilience of underprivileged communities. This approach
helps customers improve business capacity, manage finances better, build
savings habits, and enhance family welfare sustainably. One PNM Mekaar
customer acknowledged the tangible benefits of the assistance provided
by PNM. ‘For us, PNM is not just a place to get business capital.
Through the regular training and mentoring provided, I learned to manage
finances, develop my business, and save for my family’s future. PNM’s
presence has made me more confident in making decisions and growing the
business I run,’ she said. PNM President Director Kindaris stated that
this award serves as both a reminder and encouragement for PNM to
continue delivering impactful and sustainable empowerment for
Indonesia’s underprivileged communities. ‘For us, good governance is not
only about compliance and corporate achievements, but about how every
business process can deliver tangible benefits to society,’ Kindaris
explained in a statement on Thursday (2/7/2026). This award is proof
that economic empowerment can go hand in hand with the principles of
transparency, accountability, and sustainability. ‘Together with
Danantara, we will continue to strengthen inclusive services so that
more underprivileged women have the opportunity to grow, do business,
and improve their families’ welfare,’ said Kindaris. In line with the
theme of PNM’s 27th anniversary, ‘Bersama di Setiap Langkah, Menemani di
Setiap Perjuangan’ (Together at Every Step, Accompanying in Every
Struggle), PNM is committed to continuing to grow with its customers,
caring for the needs of grassroots communities, and inspiring the
emergence of more resilient and competitive ultra-micro
entrepreneurs.
",
