        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - The National Police Commission (Kompolnas) has\nemphasised the importance of improving public services following the\nleadership of Polda Metro Jaya by a high-ranking Indonesian National\nPolice (Polri) officer holding the rank of Commissioner General\n(Komjen). \u201cWith the rank promotion from two stars to three stars, it\nmust be matched with the best possible service improvement to all\nmembers of society, to the components or entities of society in the\nworking area of Polda Metro Jaya,\u201d said Kompolnas Commissioner Mohammad\nChoirul Anam to the media in Jakarta on Thursday. According to him,\nPolda Metro Jaya has different social, political, and economic dynamics\ncompared to other regional police commands. Therefore, he assessed that\nthe upgrade in the status of Polda Metro Jaya\u2019s leader to Komjen must be\naccompanied by an improvement in the quality of public services.\n\u201cHopefully, this becomes a good signal for public services,\u201d he stated.\nIt is known that Polda Metro Jaya is now officially led by a three-star\ngeneral officer or Komjen. The position of Kapolda Metro Jaya remains\nfilled by Asep Edi Suheri, who was previously ranked Inspector General\nand now holds the rank of Komjen. The Head of Public Relations of Polda\nMetro Jaya, Senior Commissioner Pol Budi Hermanto, confirmed the rank\npromotion. \u201cIt is true that the current Kapolda Metro Jaya holds the\nrank of Commissioner General of Police based on the Decree of the\nPresident of the Republic of Indonesia Number 38\/POLRI\/YEAR 2026 dated\n13 May 2026,\u201d he said. Asep Edi Suheri is a man born in Tasikmalaya,\nWest Java, on 16 November 1972.
