The improvement of the Plumpang-Semper road, a vital transport artery\nin North Jakarta, has been proposed as a priority in the Kecamatan Koja\nDevelopment Planning Consultation (Musrenbang).<\/p>\n
\u201cThe main priority proposal is the improvement of the Plumpang-Semper\nroad, including the construction of a commemorative monument at the\nSimpang Lima Semper intersection,\u201d said Koja Sub-district Head Toto\nBondan in Jakarta on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
According to him, the improvement of the Plumpang-Semper road is a\nfocus of development because the area is a densely populated residential\narea.<\/p>\n
This location is also a logistics route for industry and a centre for\ncommunity economic activity.<\/p>\n
He believes that this improvement is aimed at reducing congestion and\ntraffic conflicts between trucks and motorcycles.<\/p>\n
He said that in the Kecamatan Koja-level Musrenbang, out of six\nvillages, there were 375 proposals, of which 311 were physical proposals\nand 64 were proposals for the procurement of goods.<\/p>\n
According to him, several priority development plans for 2027 include\nthe normalisation of the drainage channel (U-ditch) on Jalan Alur Laut,\nRawa Badak Selatan village, for a length of 400 metres, and the\nimprovement of Jalan Koramil in the same area, for a length of\napproximately 400 metres.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis forum ensures that the proposals are truly a priority,\nmeasurable and in accordance with the needs of the residents,\u201d he\nsaid.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Deputy Mayor of North Jakarta, Fredy Setiawan, said that\nthe Musrenbang is a participatory planning forum that accommodates\naspirations from the community at the grassroots level.<\/p>\n
He explained that every development proposal must meet three main\ncriteria, namely having a broad impact, being integrated with the\npolicies of the city government and the DKI Jakarta Provincial\nGovernment, and being realistic and measurable in accordance with the\nfiscal capacity of the region.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe budget must be managed wisely. Not all proposals can be\nimplemented at once. Therefore, it is necessary to determine priority\nprogrammes and programmes that can be postponed,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
He added that several strategic issues in Kecamatan Koja that need\nattention include flood management through the normalisation of drainage\nchannels, waste management, improvement of public services, and\nstrengthening human resources, including empowering young people.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe success of development is not measured by the number of\nprojects, but by the extent of the benefits felt by the community,\u201d he\nsaid.<\/p>\n
