Pluang has recorded a sixfold increase in the number of investors\nactively trading US stocks each month over the past three years, with\nthe number of beginner investors in the asset class surging 63-fold\nduring the same period. The growth is increasingly visible outside major\nmetropolitan areas, as 38 percent of Pluang\u2019s US stock investors now\nreside in secondary and tertiary cities, and the platform\u2019s services\nhave reached more than 300 cities and regencies across Indonesia.<\/p>\n

In the first quarter of 2026,\napproximately one in five new Pluang investors started their investment\njourney through US stocks and ETFs. Furthermore, more than 70 percent of\ninvestors who first purchased global stocks a year ago have retained\ntheir holdings, indicating a shift towards long-term diversification\nstrategies rather than short-term speculation.<\/p>\n
Andreas added that the development of artificial intelligence (AI)\ncompanies has further fuelled demand for access to global markets.\nCiting Goldman Sachs 2026 data, he highlighted that AI-related firms now\naccount for roughly 45 percent of the S&P 500\u2019s market\ncapitalisation. Pluang currently offers access to over 650 US stocks and\nETFs, including through fractional ownership mechanisms. For more\nexperienced investors, the platform also provides instruments such as\noptions and leverage.<\/p>\n
Pluang has fully transitioned its US stock and ETF products to the\nPALN scheme, which facilitates the routing of customer mandates to\noverseas exchanges. Under this framework, Pluang collaborates with PT PG\nBerjangka, which holds a futures broker licence from Bappebti and an\nintermediary licence for financial derivatives from the Financial\nServices Authority (OJK). Transactions are recorded on the Jakarta\nFutures Exchange (JFX) and guaranteed by the Indonesian Futures Clearing\nHouse (KBI), while execution on US exchanges is handled through Alpaca\nSecurities LLC. The scheme enables investors to hold fractional\nownership of underlying shares and receive proportional dividend rights.\nSince the launch of its global stock products, Pluang investors have\nreportedly received total dividend payments amounting to tens of\nbillions of rupiah.<\/p>\n
