PT PLN (Persero) through the Bali Load Control Unit (UP2B Bali) has\neducated hundreds of students of SMK Negeri 1 Denpasar on electrical\nsafety through a socialisation programme titled \u2018Building a Culture of\nElectrical Safety in the Digital Era with PLN Mobile\u2019. The activity,\nheld at SMK Negeri 1 Denpasar, is part of PLN\u2019s efforts to raise\nawareness among the younger generation so that they can play a role in\npreventing potential electrical disturbances while utilising digital\ntechnology to report conditions that could endanger the electricity\nnetwork.<\/p>\n
The activity was also part of a spirit of togetherness in welcoming\nthe independence momentum through education and concern for electrical\nsafety and reliability. The event was attended by the Coordinator of\nSupervisors of the Education, Youth and Sports Office of Bali Province I\nWayan Suwira, Head of SMK Negeri 1 Denpasar I Wayan Mustika, and Manager\nof PLN UP2B Bali Komang Teddy Indra Kusuma.<\/p>\n
General Manager of PLN UIP2B Jamali, Munawwar Furqan, said that PLN\nMobile serves as a bridge between the public and PLN, including for\nreporting potential hazards or conditions that could disrupt the\nelectricity network.<\/p>\n
\u2018The earlier a potential disturbance is identified, the faster the\nhandling measures can be taken. Therefore, we want the younger\ngeneration not only to be technology users, but also part of efforts to\nmaintain the safety and reliability of the electricity system,\u2019 Munawwar\nsaid in a statement on Sunday (16\/8\/2026).<\/p>\n
During the socialisation, students were given an understanding of\nvarious potential disturbances around the electricity network, such as\ntrees too close to the network, buildings that violate safe distance\nrequirements, and kite-flying activities around power lines. In addition\nto understanding these risks, students were also introduced to PLN\nMobile as a means of obtaining electricity services as well as reporting\npotential hazards so that they can be immediately followed up by PLN\nofficers.<\/p>\n
The students were also encouraged to become agents of change by\npassing on the knowledge gained to their families and communities. In\nthis way, electrical safety education is expected not to stop in the\nclassroom, but to develop into shared concern in daily life.<\/p>\n
