        "content": "<p>JAKARTA - PT PLN (Persero) recorded a national peak electricity load\nof 34.77 gigawatts (GW) during the Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah\ncelebrations. PLN\u2019s President Director, Darmawan Prasodjo, stated that\nthis high peak load remains within safe boundaries, supported by the\nnational supply capacity of 51.37 GW. Additionally, all PLN personnel\nwere mobilised to maintain a reliable electricity supply, especially\nduring Eid prayers. PLN has set an electricity readiness period until 31\nMarch 2026 to ensure the system operates optimally amid rising\nelectricity consumption. In detail, PLN secured power supply at 4,429\npriority locations, including 2,044 places of worship, 706\ntransportation points, 439 crowded areas, 426 shopping centres, and 814\nhospitals. \u201cThe priority locations are monitored as safe and under\ncontrol with no electricity disruptions. We continue to conduct\nintensive monitoring so that the public can carry out activities during\nthis Eid al-Fitr moment smoothly,\u201d said Darmawan. For example, in West\nNusa Tenggara (NTB), the Lombok system recorded a load of 326 megawatts\n(MW) during Eid prayers with a capacity of 380 MW, leaving a reserve of\n54 MW. Meanwhile, in the Tambora system on Sumbawa Island, the peak load\nreached 139 MW with a capacity of 188 MW and a power reserve of 49 MW.\nThe General Manager of PLN\u2019s NTB Regional Unit, Sri Heny Purwanti,\nassured that these conditions are sufficient to meet the public\u2019s\nelectricity needs during Eid.<\/p>",
