Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan (ANTARA) - PT PLN (Persero) Unit Induk\nDistribusi Kalimantan Selatan dan Kalimantan Tengah (UID Kalselteng) is\nstrengthening the competency of prospective electricity workers through\na Simple Building Electrical Installation Training programme. The\nprogramme is conducted in collaboration with the South Kalimantan\nProvincial Job Training Centre (BLK) and the Tanah Bumbu Regency\nManpower and Transmigration Office.<\/p>\n
General Manager of PLN UID Kalselteng, Iwan Soelistijono, stated in\nBanjarbaru on Monday that the training is part of PLN\u2019s commitment to\nimproving the quality of human resources while broadening public\nunderstanding of electricity.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis step is part of PLN\u2019s commitment to enhancing public\nunderstanding of electricity, both from technical and safety aspects,\u201d\nhe said.<\/p>\n
The activity, held by PLN\u2019s Batulicin Customer Service Unit on Monday\n(22\/6), was attended by 18 participants. The training provided basic\nelectrical installation skills, an understanding of work standards, and\nthe application of a safety-first work culture.<\/p>\n
During the training, PLN ULP Batulicin also delivered instruction on\nOccupational Health, Safety, and Environment (K3L) in electricity,\ncovering the identification of potential electrical hazards, risk\nmitigation, and the implementation of workplace safety procedures.<\/p>\n
\u201cThrough collaboration with various parties, we hope that more young\npeople will have the skills, insight, and readiness to contribute to\nsupporting regional development,\u201d Iwan said.<\/p>\n
According to Iwan, collaboration between the education sector,\ntraining institutions, and industry is a crucial factor in preparing a\nworkforce capable of meeting the needs of the continuously developing\nenergy sector.<\/p>\n
\u201cThrough synergy, we hope that community skills development can be\ncontinuously improved to open up wider job opportunities while\nsupporting sustainable regional development,\u201d Iwan stated.<\/p>\n
Team Leader for K3L at PLN ULP Batulicin, Wahyu Cahaya Purnomo Sidik,\nsaid that understanding electrical risks and applying safety principles\nare the main foundations for every worker in the electricity sector.<\/p>\n
\u201cParticipants received education regarding the boundaries of\nresponsibility between PLN and customers so they understand the scope of\ninstallation work according to applicable standards, enabling them to\nprovide the best service,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Manager of PLN ULP Batulicin, Azmi Muharom, also\nintroduced digital services through the PLN Mobile application, which\nprovides various electricity service features, from new connections,\npower changes, token purchases, and bill payments to real-time fault\nreporting.<\/p>\n
