        "content": "<p>Surabaya \u2014 PT PLN (Persero) East Java Distribution Unit (UID) has\nmobilised 5,524 personnel equipped with supporting equipment to\nsafeguard the electricity system during the Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah\nperiod from 14-29 March 2026.<\/p>\n<p>General Manager Ahmad Mustaqir stated that the thousands of personnel\ndeployed are distributed across 562 emergency posts throughout East\nJava.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll of this is so that the community can carry out their religious\nobservance and celebrate Eid al-Fitr 1447 H comfortably,\u201d said Ahmad\nMustaqir in Surabaya on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, PLN has prepared supporting equipment including 92\ngenerators, 62 mobile UPS units, 234 mobile substations, 15 crane\ntrucks, 399 operational vehicles, and 457 operational motorcycles to\nensure rapid response in the event of electricity disruptions.<\/p>\n<p>During this alert period, PLN is also securing 562 priority locations\nacross East Java, which include places of worship, hospitals, transport\nhubs, shopping centres, tourist areas, and government offices.<\/p>\n<p>All of these locations receive multi-layered protection to ensure\nreliable electricity supply during the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 1447 H\nperiod.<\/p>\n<p>PLN is furthermore ensuring adequate electricity supply in the East\nJava system, with capacity reaching approximately 9,815 MW and power\nreserves exceeding 2,600 MW.<\/p>\n<p>In supporting public mobility, particularly for electric vehicle\nusers, PLN has also prepared 297 public electric vehicle charging\nstations (SPKLU) at 158 locations spread across various regions of East\nJava.<\/p>\n<p>This infrastructure has been prepared to support holiday travellers\nusing electric vehicles to ensure safe and comfortable journeys.<\/p>\n<p>PLN is simultaneously strengthening synergy with various parties such\nas the Indonesian military (TNI), national police (Polri), PT KAI,\nPertamina, the disaster management agency (BPBD), and local governments\nfor the protection of electrical assets and mitigation of potential\nrisks, including extreme weather and network disruptions.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have a free travel programme in collaboration with PT KAI, and\nthankfully the interest has been overwhelming. A total of 6,400 holiday\ntravellers are ready to be sent from Surabaya on 17-18 March 2026,\u201d said\nAhmad.<\/p>\n<p>With these preparedness measures in place, PLN hopes that the\ncommunity can observe Ramadan and celebrate Eid al-Fitr peacefully,\nsupported by reliable electricity supply across the East Java\nregion.<\/p>",
