        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT PLN (Persero) UID Jakarta Raya has stated that\nthe power outage in several areas of Jakarta on Thursday was due to a\ndisruption in electricity supply.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA disruption in electricity supply has occurred, impacting several\nareas of Jakarta. PLN is focusing on efforts to normalise the\nsituation,\u201d said Senior Manager of Communication and Public Relations\nfor PLN UID Jakarta Raya, Haris Andika, when contacted by ANTARA in\nJakarta on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>Haris requested that the public report the condition of electricity\nservices in their areas via the PLN Mobile application and PLN Contact\nCentre 123.<\/p>\n<p>The statement responds to the power outage that occurred in various\nparts of Jakarta, including office areas, on Thursday, as complained\nabout by residents on social media.<\/p>\n<p>Based on ANTARA\u2019s observations, the power outage occurred in several\nareas of Central Jakarta such as Thamrin and Bendungan Hilir; South\nJakarta such as Kuningan, Jagakarsa, Tebet; and other areas like East\nJakarta.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, a power outage also occurred in several areas of Jakarta\non Thursday (9\/4\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>At that time, PLN stated that the disruption originated from the\nsystem in several substations, which caused the electricity supply to\ntemporarily stop in the affected areas.<\/p>\n<p>In response to the situation, PLN immediately moved quickly to carry\nout normalisation by deploying field personnel.<\/p>\n<p>The recovery process was carried out in stages to ensure the\nelectricity system returned to stable and safe conditions before being\nsupplied to customers.<\/p>\n<p>The outage also impacted MRT services, with operational disruptions\nat several stations on Thursday (9\/4\/2026) afternoon at 17:57 WIB.<\/p>",
