Amid this capacity enhancement\nproject, passengers are instead highlighting one basic facility that\nthey believe has yet to be adequately addressed: canopies. Several\npassengers hope that the new platforms under construction will not only\naccommodate longer train consists but also provide comfort while\nwaiting, especially during rain or hot weather. One passenger, Anwar\nMaulana (29), supports the platform extension because it is seen as\ncapable of handling longer train consists. \u201cIf extended, everything can\nbe 12 cars; there are so many passengers from Bogor, but add canopies.\nBogor Station is in a rainy city, yet there are no canopies,\u201d Anwar told\nKompas.com on Wednesday. According to Anwar, requests for additional\ncanopies have actually been frequently voiced by passengers but have not\nyet been realised. \u201cWe\u2019ve asked for it often (for canopies).
