        "content": "<p>Plane makes emergency landing<\/p>\n<p>PALANGKA RAYA, Central Kalimantan: An F-28 Merpati Nusantara<br>\naircraft failed to land yesterday morning at the Tjilik Riwut<br>\nairport and was forced to make an emergency landing at the<br>\nSyamsuddinoor airport in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan.<\/p>\n<p>Murmo Samino, the Palangka Raya district manager of Merpati<br>\nNusantara airlines, confirmed the incident, saying that the<br>\naircraft changed directions at 9:05 a.m. and landed in<br>\nBanjarmasin at 9:30 a.m. due to damages to the plane's wind<br>\nabsorbing device.<\/p>\n<p>The Antara news agency reported that the craft, en route from<br>\nJakarta to Palangka Raya, was carrying 76 passengers and was<br>\npiloted by Iskandar.<\/p>\n<p>According to Murmo, an aircraft without the device must have a<br>\nlanding strip that is at least 2,000 meters long, while Tjilik<br>\nRiwut has a 1,200-meter-long strip.
