PT Pupuk Kalimantan Timur (Pupuk Kaltim), through its PKT Proaktif\nprogramme, has distributed Rp100 million in aid to communities affected\nby the earthquake in Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT). The assistance was\nreceived directly by the Regent of Manggarai, Herybertus Geradus Laju\nNabit, in Manggarai.<\/p>\n
Pupuk Kaltim President Director Rafli Yandra said the support\nreflects the company\u2019s concern and solidarity with those affected,\nprimarily to help meet basic needs while supporting the post-disaster\nhandling process through concrete action on the ground.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis support is part of Pupuk Kaltim\u2019s spirit of care through the\nPKT Proaktif programme, as well as a form of the company\u2019s presence to\ncontinue contributing to society. This time we are present in NTT to\nhelp our brothers and sisters who have been struck by disaster,\u201d said\nRafli.<\/p>\n
All assistance was designed with urgent needs in mind, including\nstaple foods, sanitation, nutrition and health needs, and other\nsupporting equipment for evacuation conditions.<\/p>\n
For primary staple needs, Pupuk Kaltim distributed 1,390 items\nconsisting of mineral water, rice, granulated sugar, and instant\nnoodles. The aid also includes hundreds of adult and baby sanitation\nsupplies, as urgent necessities for communities whose living conditions\nhave not fully recovered.<\/p>\n
In addition, hundreds of packages of nutrition and public health\nsupplies were distributed, including milk for children and the elderly,\nbaby food and complementary feeding biscuits, herbal medicine, telon\noil, mosquito protection, and tarpaulins for shelter needs.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe hope this can help meet the basic food needs of the community,\nespecially those still in emergency conditions and in need of logistical\nsupport,\u201d Rafli continued.<\/p>\n
Rafli further conveyed that Pupuk Kaltim shares in the sorrow over\nthe earthquake disaster affecting the people of NTT, particularly in\nManggarai Regency. He expressed hope that the community would be given\nstrength and fortitude in facing the recovery period, and that the\nentire disaster handling process would proceed smoothly.<\/p>\n
