Febrie was\npreviously the former Executive Chairman of the Satgas PKH. Responding\nto the impact on the task force\u2019s work, Barita said that the Satgas PKH\ndoes not operate on an individual basis, but rather based on a\ngovernance system. \u201cThe organisational principle is not determined by\nindividuals but by a good governance system,\u201d Barita said at the\nMinistry of Defence on Monday, 13 July 2026. According to Barita, law\nenforcement matters fall under the domain of law enforcement officials,\nand these issues are well-coordinated. He stated that the task force\ndoes not work based on assumptions but takes steps using a legal\napproach. He explained that the task force\u2019s work is based on three\nfunctions regulated in Presidential Regulation Number 5 of 2025, which\ngoverns forest area control to manage mining, plantation, and other\nillegal activities. For instance, the task force carries out forest area\ncontrol, collection of administrative fines, and asset recovery in\nforest areas. \u201cThis has been running smoothly so far,\u201d Barita said. On\nMonday morning, Minister of Defence Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, as Chairman of\nthe Satgas PKH Steering Committee, gathered the task force leadership at\nthe Ministry of Defence office. Attendees included Attorney General ST\nBurhanuddin as Deputy Chairman of the Steering Committee I, Indonesian\nNational Armed Forces Commander General Agus Subiyanto as Deputy\nChairman of the Steering Committee II, Chief of General Staff Lieutenant\nGeneral Richard Tampubolon as Deputy Executive Chairman, and Head of the\nDevelopment and Finance Comptroller (BPKP) Yusuf Ateh as a steering\ncommittee member. Barita stated that the meeting discussed the\noptimisation, synchronisation, and evaluation of the task force\u2019s\nduties. During the meeting, Minister Sjafrie emphasised the importance\nof good governance. The Satgas PKH plays a vital role in forest area\nsupervision, administrative fine collection, and state asset recovery.\nAll actions must adhere to the principle of accountability. \u201cThe task\nforce\u2019s duties are continuously evaluated based on field findings,\nverification, and data validation,\u201d Barita said. Febrie Adriansyah has\nbeen named a suspect in corruption and money laundering cases that\ncaused tens of trillions of rupiah in state losses. The three cases\ninvolve coal procurement for a steam power plant, the PT Asabri scandal,\nand a case at PT Krakatau Steel.
