        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - Spokesperson for the Task Force for Regulating\nForest Areas (Satgas PKH), Barita Simanjuntak, stated that the Attorney\nGeneral\u2019s Office (Kejagung) designating ST (Samin Tan) as a suspect in\nthe alleged criminal corruption case of mismanagement in PT AKT\u2019s mining\noperations serves as a warning to other parties. According to him,\ncompanies summoned by Satgas PKH must fulfil their obligations to the\nstate, as stipulated in Presidential Regulation No.\u00a05 of 2025 on forest\nregulation. \u201cIf there is bad faith, the state\u2019s instruments will\ncertainly work to ensure compliance with those regulations is carried\nout and adhered to by anyone in our rule of law,\u201d Barita said during a\npress conference on the designation of suspect ST at the Attorney\nGeneral\u2019s Office building in Jakarta on Saturday morning. He stated that\nthe Kejagung\u2019s designation of ST as a suspect is part of Satgas PKH\u2019s\nconsistency in ensuring the enforcement of legal rules in regulatory\nactivities. Furthermore, he said, the authorised investigators will\ndevelop the case ensnaring ST, including seeking other parties allegedly\ninvolved and related in the legal construction according to the evidence\nin the investigation. In this regard, he also appreciated the\nperformance of the Attorney General\u2019s Office in uncovering the case\nensnaring ST. According to him, Satgas PKH also retook control of the\nforest managed by PT AKT in January 2026. \u201cWe have issued warnings,\nalerts, and the task force, in accordance with its duties and authority,\nhas coordinated and informed law enforcement apparatus also within the\ntask force, for steps in law enforcement,\u201d he said. Previously, the\nAttorney General\u2019s Office (Kejagung) designated a suspect in the alleged\ncriminal corruption case of deviations in mining management, initialled\nST, as the beneficial owner or manager of PT AKT, which had been\noperating illegally from 2017 to 2025. Director of Investigation of the\nDeputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) of Kejagung,\nSyarief Sulaeman Nahdi, explained that PT AKT, a coal miner based on a\nPKP2B contract, had its licence revoked in 2017. However, he said, the\nmining company continued to operate despite being illegal or\nunauthorised. \u201cPT AKT continued to carry out mining and the sale of\nmining products unlawfully and against the law until 2025,\u201d said\nSyarief.<\/p>",
