        "content": "<p>The Criminal Investigation Unit of Cirebon City Police successfully\napprehended the suspect in the alleged criminal act of corruption\nrelated to the Family Hope Programme (PKH) social assistance. The\nsuspect, initialled EK, was captured at his hiding place in Lampung.<\/p>\n<p>Kanit III Tipidkor of the Criminal Investigation Unit at Cirebon City\nPolice, Ipda Dwi Anas Rudiyantoro, explained that his team had been\nconducting intensive tracking of the suspect\u2019s whereabouts. Throughout\nthis period, the suspect frequently changed locations to evade the\nauthorities.<\/p>\n<p>Upon receiving information about the suspect\u2019s location, the police\nimmediately moved to Kota Agung in Tanggamus Regency, Lampung Province.\nUpon arrival in the area, officers conducted mapping and surveillance\naround the suspect\u2019s hideout.<\/p>\n<p>In a covert operation, the suspect, who is a former employee of PT\nPos Cirebon, was directly apprehended by officers at a resident\u2019s house\nin Pasar Madang Village on Saturday (18\/4\/2026) at around 02:30 WIB. At\nthat time, the suspect was asleep.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen secured, the suspect did not resist,\u201d he said on Wednesday\n(22\/4\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>The Head of Criminal Investigation at Cirebon City Police, AKP Adam\nGana, explained that the suspect is alleged to have manipulated\ndocuments for the distribution of social assistance to residents. The\nmodus operandi involved altering the amounts on payment notification\nletters, resulting in residents receiving smaller sums than\nentitled.<\/p>\n<p>This was done by instructing payment officers to disburse funds\naccording to the altered amounts, without proper data verification.\n\u201cSubsequently, the difference in funds from hundreds of beneficiaries is\nalleged to have been controlled by the suspect,\u201d he clarified.<\/p>\n<p>From the investigation results, approximately 900 beneficiaries were\nimpacted by the suspect\u2019s fraudulent practices. The total state loss in\nthe case amounts to Rp 264.555 million, which should have been\ndistributed to the recipient community.<\/p>",
