        "content": "<p>The distribution of PKH BPNT social assistance for May 2026 has begun\nfor beneficiary families (KPM) in several regions. Along with the\ncommencement of the second phase of the 2026 disbursement, the\ngovernment is also updating the data of social assistance recipients to\nensure more targeted distribution.<\/p>\n<p>Although the total number of social assistance recipients nationally\nremains the same, the list of recipients may change following the latest\ndata update. Therefore, the public is advised to regularly check their\nassistance status through the website or the Cek Bansos application.<\/p>\n<p>New recipients are added based on proposals and verification from\nvillages, sub-districts, social services, and through the Kemensos\u2019 Cek\nBansos application. \u201cA total of 475,821 new KPM who were proposed\nthrough villages\/sub-districts\/social services and the Cek Bansos\napplication have been designated as recipients of social assistance for\nthe second quarter,\u201d wrote the official account of the Center for Data\nand Social Welfare Information (Pusdatin Kesos) <span class=\"citation\" data-cites=\"pusdatinkesos\">@pusdatinkesos<\/span>, Wednesday\n(6\/5\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>Some recipients have been removed because their economic conditions\nare deemed to have improved, they have passed away, or they are\nregistered as civil servants (ASN), members of the military (TNI),\npolice (Polri), or members of the legislative body along with their\nfamilies.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, data updates are carried out routinely every 10th of each\nmonth and are immediately used as a reference for the distribution of\nsocial assistance. With the latest system, the process of data\nverification to the disbursement of PKH BPNT social assistance for May\n2026 is faster compared to before. Based on data from the Central Bureau\nof Statistics (BPS), there are 11,014 social assistance recipients who\nhave been removed from the list of recipients. The government then\nreplaced them with new KPM based on the latest verification results to\nensure more targeted assistance. After that, the system will display\ninformation on social assistance recipients, ranging from the\nrecipient\u2019s name, type of assistance, disbursement status, to the\ndistribution period.<\/p>",
