        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - The National Awakening Party (PKB) is\nstrengthening its relations with one of Malaysia\u2019s political parties,\nthe Malaysian Chinese Association (MCA).<\/p>\n<p>The enhancement of inter-party relations between the two countries\noccurred after PKB received a visit from the MCA delegation in Jakarta\non Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWelcome to the gentlemen and ladies from MCA at the PKB Central\nExecutive Board office. We are very pleased and grateful for your\npresence to visit, get acquainted, and exchange greetings, so that we\ncan get to know each other better and grow closer. May this meeting\nbring synergy, collaboration, and cooperation,\u201d said PKB General\nChairman Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar at the PKB Central Executive Board in\nJakarta on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>On that occasion, the man familiarly known as Cak Imin explained that\nPKB is a religious-based party in Indonesia that upholds openness and\npluralism.<\/p>\n<p>Therefore, he hopes that the relationship between PKB and MCA can\ncontinue to develop and provide benefits for both countries.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, he views Indonesia and Malaysia as having close relations,\nboth geographically, culturally, and historically, which need to be\ndeveloped productively.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe consist of various backgrounds, including from the Chinese\ncommunity. Our Deputy General Chairman, Rusdi Kirana, once served as\nIndonesia\u2019s Ambassador to Malaysia and now holds the position of Deputy\nSpeaker of the People\u2019s Consultative Assembly of the Republic of\nIndonesia. There is also Daniel Johan, who has been a member of the\nHouse of Representatives four times, as well as many other cadres in\nvarious fields,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, MCA Vice President Lawrence Low hopes that the meeting\nwill mark the beginning of broader cooperation between the two political\nparties.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI hope this meeting can open up cooperation between the two parties.\nNot only in politics, but also in economy, trade, education, and other\nsectors,\u201d said Lawrence.<\/p>\n<p>He also explained that MCA is a party that has been established since\n1949 and is currently part of the Barisan Nasional in Malaysia, with\nstrong support from the Chinese community.<\/p>\n<p>In the meeting, Cak Imin was accompanied by several PKB officials,\nincluding Ida Fauziyah, Faisol Riza, Muhammad Kadafi, Ais Shofiah Asfar,\nNadya Alfi Raihana, Riezal Ilham Pratama, and Gielbran Muhammad Nur.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, several MCA leaders were present, including Dato\u2019 Wong\nTat Chee, Dato\u2019 Lee Ban Seng, Tee Hooi Ling, and other officials.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting is expected to be an initial step in strengthening\nbilateral relations through political channels and promoting concrete\ncollaboration in various strategic sectors between Indonesia and\nMalaysia.<\/p>",
