        "content": "<p>PKB reprimanded for damning Golkar<\/p>\n<p>YOGYAKARTA: The National Awakening Party (PBB) was reprimanded<br>\nFriday because its chairman Matori Abdul Djalil damned a rival<br>\nparty while addressing a campaign here Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>\"We filed the letter of warning today (Friday),\" said Moh.<br>\nMahfud M.D., deputy chairman of the Yogyakarta elections<br>\ncommittee.<\/p>\n<p>Mathori is said to have violated the 1999 electoral law which<br>\nforbids any party from criticizing another party in public.<\/p>\n<p>In his fiery speech in front of thousands of PKB supporters,<br>\nMathori said that Golkar committed the most sins leading to the<br>\npresent national crisis and therefore the party must be<br>\ndissolved.<\/p>\n<p>\"The statement was obviously in violation of the law,\" Mahfud<br>\nsaid. \"If Mathori had criticized a party other than Golkar, it<br>\nmay have caused a disaster.
