        "content": "<p>The Central Executive Board of the National Awakening Party (PKB)\nheld an Ijtima Ulama Indonesia to commemorate its 28th anniversary on\nThursday (23\/7), affirming that ulama and kiai hold a central role as a\nmoral compass guiding the party\u2019s direction. \u201cPKB views the ulama as a\ncompass that provides direction for the party\u2019s steps. It is only\nfitting that they remain a source of reference for PKB officials and\ncadres in championing the dialectics of power for the benefit of the\npeople,\u201d said Deputy Chair of the PKB Central Executive Board, Cucun A\nSyamsurizal, in Jakarta on Thursday (23\/7\/2026). He explained that as a\nparty born directly from the womb of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU), it is only\nnatural that the ulama always serve as the primary reference for\nofficials and cadres in fighting for the welfare of the people.\nAccording to him, the Ijtima Ulama Indonesia is one of PKB\u2019s efforts to\nlisten to input and views from kiai, whether experts in fiqh, tauhid, or\ntasawuf, regarding various national dynamics. \u201cCurrently, dynamics are\noccurring very rapidly, from information technology and the use of\nartificial intelligence to changes in the national and global\neconomic-political landscape, all of which require responses from the\nulama,\u201d he said. Cucun noted that this major meeting was attended by\ninfluential kiai and pesantren leaders from across the country. Several\nsenior figures present included Prof.\u00a0Dr.\u00a0KH.
