Jakarta \u2014 The National Executive Board of the National Awakening\nParty (PKB) has strongly condemned the joint actions of the United\nStates and Israel against Iran\u2019s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali\nKhamenei.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe strongly condemn the act of political assassination through\nmilitary operations against a sovereign state leader,\u201d stated PKB\u2019s Head\nof International Cooperation Division Luluk Nur Hamidah during a\nstatement in Jakarta on Sunday.<\/p>\n
According to her, the attack carried out by the US and Israel cannot\nbe justified under international law, is unacceptable under humanitarian\nnorms, and risks creating a dangerous precedent for global\nstability.<\/p>\n
She stated that if such practices by the US and Israel are permitted,\nthe world would move towards an international system governed by\nmilitary force rather than law.<\/p>\n
\u201cToday Iran becomes the target. Tomorrow, any country could\nexperience the same. When the assassination of a state leader is deemed\npermissible, there is no longer any guarantee of security for any\nnation,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, she viewed the action against Iran\u2019s leader as occurring\ndue to the absence of strict sanctions against previous human rights\nviolations, particularly Israel\u2019s actions against Palestine.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen justice is not enforced consistently, conflicts will only\nexpand,\u201d she stated.<\/p>\n
For this reason, she stated that the PKB\u2019s National Executive Board\ncalled upon the United Nations and the international community to\nconduct an independent and transparent investigation into the US-Israeli\nattack on Iran and impose strict sanctions against any violations of\ninternational law without double standards, including against Israel and\nits supporters.<\/p>\n
The party also called for de-escalation of the conflict, opening\ndiplomatic channels, and protecting civilians from the effects of the\nexpanding conflict in the Middle East region.<\/p>\n
\u201cGlobal injustice today threatens world peace tomorrow. If the world\ncontinues to remain silent, what will grow is not stability, but an\nendless spiral of conflict,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
Additionally, she stated that the PKB\u2019s National Executive Board also\nexpressed solidarity with the Iranian people.<\/p>\n
\u201cMay they be given strength and steadfastness, and may the\ninternational community possess the moral courage to uphold genuine\njustice and peace,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
Previously, Israel launched an attack on Iran on 28 February 2026. On\na separate occasion, US President Donald Trump stated that the American\nmilitary had begun large-scale combat operations in Iran.<\/p>\n
One of the joint US-Israeli attacks involved seven rockets striking\nTehran near the residence of Iran\u2019s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali\nKhamenei.<\/p>\n
Subsequently, Iran launched rocket attacks on Israel and several\nother targets in Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Indonesia\u2019s Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that\nPresident Prabowo Subianto was ready to travel to Iran to facilitate\ndialogue in order to restore conducive security conditions.<\/p>\n
