Chair of the National Awakening Party (PKB) Central Board for Foreign\nCooperation, Luluk Nur Hamidah, received a visit from the Chairman of\nthe Jerusalem and Palestine Committee, Dr.\u00a0Marwan Muhammad Ayesh Abu\nRas, and his delegation at the PKB Central Board office on Thursday, 13\nAugust 2026.<\/p>\n
During the meeting, Luluk emphasised that PKB\u2019s support for\nPalestinian independence is not solely based on religious factors but\nprimarily on humanitarian values and the principle that independence is\nthe right of every nation.<\/p>\n
\u201cPKB supports Palestinian independence not only because of religious\nbelief, but more than that because of humanity. Because independence is\neveryone\u2019s right,\u201d said Luluk in her statement.<\/p>\n
Luluk said PKB is open to building cooperation with various parties\nto encourage the realisation of Palestinian independence and to\nstrengthen bilateral relations between Indonesia and Palestine.<\/p>\n
\u201cGod willing, PKB is ready to facilitate scholarships for Palestinian\nstudents who will pursue education in Indonesia, both men and women,\nespecially in the fields of science and technology,\u201d she asserted.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, member of the Indonesian House of Representatives\nCommission I from the PKB faction, Oleh Soleh, added that PKB is\ncommitted to supporting the implementation of the 15-Point Gaza Peace\nRoadmap proposed by the Board of Peace so that it can be carried out as\nwell as possible by both parties.<\/p>\n
\u201cI believe Indonesia will never become part of them (Zionists),\nbecause Indonesia and Palestine are like one body, like a single entity.\nAnd we want the 15 points of the agreement to be implemented as well as\npossible by both sides,\u201d said Oleh Soleh.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Marwan Ayesh conveyed the current situation in Palestine\nand the bitter experiences he endured during the war, including the loss\nof his child and dozens of his family members.<\/p>\n
The Gaza political figure who long served in the Palestinian\nparliament also highlighted the weak position of parliament in conflict\nsituations.<\/p>\n
Marwan appreciated PKB and said Indonesia needs a party capable of\ncarrying the great aspirations of the nation and religion. \u201cI am pleased\nto be able to visit PKB under the leadership of Mr.\u00a0Muhaimin Iskandar.\nThis is a great and extraordinary party,\u201d said Marwan.<\/p>\n
