Pizza Hut responds<\/p>\n
We are referring to Mr. Chandramouli's letter in The Jakarta
\nPost dated Nov. 18, 1995 entitled Prices go up, sizes go down.<\/p>\n
First of all, on behalf of Pizza Hut management, we would like
\nto thank him for his comments and apologize for any inconvenience
\ncaused.<\/p>\n
As always, we review any customer's comments with great
\nconcern and full attention.<\/p>\n
Our company management thrives on improving its standards and
\nthis can only be done through criticism.<\/p>\n
Indeed we did change from a plate to a bowl for our salad bar
\nin an effort to standardize our selling price. With the use of
\nplates, customers would take more than they could eat which
\ncaused wastage and increased costs of the salad bar. We had a
\nchoice of whether to maintain the plate or to change to a bowl.
\nWe selected the latter for the customer's benefit to maintain our
\nselling price.<\/p>\n
With regard to the spoons and tongs, we have requested our
\nrestaurants use large spoons and stronger tongs.<\/p>\n
We have requested our product development work on the
\nIndonesian favorite. If you have any suggestions on favorite
\ningredients, we welcome them.<\/p>\n
