One example is the utilisation of renewable\nenergy and the strengthening of medicine distribution systems that meet\nregulatory standards. PT Anugerah Pharmindo Lestari (APL), a Zuellig\nPharma company, recently hosted a visit from the Food and Drug\nMonitoring Agency (BPOM) at its National Distribution Center (NDC) in\nCikarang. During the visit, BPOM inspected the medicine distribution\nfacilities that have implemented Good Medicine Distribution Practice\n(CDOB) standards and a 2D barcode system in accordance with BPOM\nregulations. The BPOM delegation also reviewed the solar power plant\n(PLTS) used by APL to improve energy efficiency while reducing\noperational emissions. The activity concluded with a tree-planting\nceremony as a symbol of commitment to environmental preservation. APL\nPresident Director Christophe Piganiol stated that collaboration between\nregulators and industry is necessary to strengthen a reliable healthcare\necosystem. One such product is Tirzepatide, an innovative therapy\nfor type 2 diabetes mellitus and obesity. BPOM plays a role in\naccelerating access to this therapy through an expedited registration\nmechanism, ensuring the product is promptly available while meeting\nsafety, quality, and clinical integrity standards.
