REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (Persero) Tbk
(PGN) has once again achieved international recognition by winning the
Silver Stevie Award at the Asia Pacific Stevie Awards 2026 in the Award
for Innovation in Consumer Events category, received on Friday (17 April
2026) at The Venetian Macao, China. This award was given for the
innovative energy education programme Taman Jargas Nusantara 2025, which
was recognised for successfully introducing a new approach to enhancing
customer engagement. The Asia Pacific Stevie Awards is a prestigious
business competition participated in by various companies from the
Asia-Pacific region, recognising innovations in management,
communication, and customer experience. Taman Jargas Nusantara 2025 was
held over four days (29 May–1 June 2025) at Bintaro Jaya Xchange Mall.
The programme serves as PGN’s strategy to expand the utilisation of
household gas networks (jargas) while increasing public understanding of
the benefits of clean energy through an educational and interactive
approach. PGN Corporate Secretary Fajriyah Usman stated that this award
validates the company’s transformation in its communication approach to
the public. “The Asia Pacific Stevie Awards 2026 serves as international
appreciation for our innovation in packaging energy education into a
fun, educational, and interactive family experience in a public open
space. PGN continues to strive to deliver a closer and more impactful
approach to increasing clean energy literacy,” she said. Unlike
conventional one-way socialisation, Taman Jargas Nusantara offers direct
experiences of natural gas usage in daily life. In the kids’ corner,
children are introduced to clean energy concepts through a giant pipe
playground, a jargas house replica, and various educational games.
Meanwhile, adult visitors can watch cooking demonstrations in a
professional gas-based kitchen complete with pipe installations and the
Gaslink beyond-pipeline system. The programme successfully attracted
more than 16,000 visitors, or about 20% of the average daily footfall at
the shopping centre during the same period. On the digital communication
front, the Taman Jargas Nusantara campaign recorded over 5.4 million
views, 53,000 digital interactions, and support from more than 200 media
reports. The presence of PGN’s active customers from the F&B sector
as tenants further strengthens the credibility of jargas services and
provides real evidence of natural gas utilisation in business
operations. In addition to serving as public education, the event also
focuses on strengthening relationships with housing developers and
opening opportunities for the public to register as jargas customers
directly at the venue. According to Fajriyah, this innovation aligns
with PGN’s commitment to supporting the national energy transition
through increased adoption of cleaner and more efficient energy in the
household sector. “The Silver Winner achievement at the Asia Pacific
Stevie Awards 2026 motivates us to continue innovating in delivering
impactful programmes, expanding natural gas utilisation, and bringing
clean energy closer to the community,” she concluded.
",
