PGN receiving terminal started<\/p>\n
JAKARTA: Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Purnomo
\nYusgiantoro presided over the ground-breaking ceremony for state
\ngas distributor PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGN)'s receiving
\nterminal in Pagardewa, South Sumatra, on Sunday as part of the
\nSouth Sumatra-Java transmission line.<\/p>\n
The company said in a press release that the first phase of
\nconstruction would link Pagardewa to Cilegon, Banten. The 445-
\nkilometer line will carry 250 million standard cubic feet per day
\n(mmscfd).<\/p>\n
The second phase of construction will link Grissik (South
\nSumatra) to Muara Bekasi (West Java) via Labuhan Mariggai. The
\n689-km line will have a capacity of 400 mmscfd from
\nConocoPhillips's Grissik gas field.<\/p>\n
The two pipelines could eventually have a combined capacity of
\n1,200 mmscfd with the addition of a compressor.<\/p>\n
PGN said in the release that the Pagardewa receiving terminal
\nwould serve as a backup if there is any disruption at the Cilegon
\nMaster Control Station. -- JP<\/p>",
