PGN clarifies<\/p>\n
PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (Persero) tbk (PGN) wishes to clarify
\nthe comments made by the General Manager of the Strategic
\nBusiness Unit II, East Java Region, appearing in the article on
\nAug. 9 entitled PLN to share its nature gas allocation: Minister.<\/p>\n
The article includes the following paragraph: \"PGN has secured
\na short-term contract with Kodeco to get another 30 mmscfd, but
\nthe gas producer had only been able to provide 13 mmscfd, said
\nTrijono.\"<\/p>\n
Please note that the above paragraph could cause
\nmisinformation for the public and damage our suppliers'
\nreputation, as the above paragraph did not mention that under the
\nShort-Term Gas Sales Agreement, \"the seller (in this regard,
\nKodeco) anticipates that it will be able to deliver up to three
\n(3) BBTU per day during the supply period\".<\/p>\n
Kodeco, has completely fulfilled all of its commitments and
\nobligations for gas supply and in full cooperation with the
\ngovernment directives. The company has successfully helped
\nalleviate the shortage of natural gas in East Java.<\/p>\n
Consequently, PGN would be most appreciative if Th Jakarta
\nPost would straighten the possible mistaken impression that may
\nhave been created by the paragraph.<\/p>\n

\nthat The Post will take immediate steps to clarify this matter.<\/p>\n
