General Manager of PG Meritjan\nKediri, Tites Agung Priyono, explained that the factory has now started\nthe sugarcane milling process for the 2026 season. According to plan,\nthe factory will mill up to 2.5 million quintals of sugarcane. \u201cWe have\nstarted the 2026 milling. For this year\u2019s milling season, we are\ntargeting a cane milling volume of 2.5 million quintals with an average\nyield target of 7.5 percent,\u201d he said in Kediri on Saturday. He added\nthat the 2026 milling target is higher than the 2025 season, during\nwhich the factory milled 2.2 million quintals of cane. PG Meritjan has\nalso undertaken various preparations for the 2026 milling to support\nsugar self-sufficiency, including a general steam test across all\nmachine stations and achieving a compactness rate of 99 percent with\nfarmers. The management also sought blessings from all levels of\ngovernment as policymakers and the surrounding community to support the\nmilling process at the factory. \u201cWe ask for prayers and blessings from\nthe surrounding community and policymakers, hoping the milling runs\nsmoothly and all employees are kept safe,\u201d he stated.
