Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Indonesian Electric Vehicle Industry
Association (Periklindo) announced that it would bring back the
Periklindo Electric Vehicle Show (PEVS) 2026 from 29 October to 1
November 2026 at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta. This year, the PEVS
exhibition carries the theme ‘The Future of A Clean and Efficient
Mobility’ and will run for four days, with a target to record
transactions valued up to Rp500 billion. “Our transaction target for
this year is Rp500 billion,” said Periklindo Chairman General (Ret.)
Moeldoko in Jakarta on Thursday (21 May). The target reflects
Indonesia’s positive growth in the shift from conventional to
battery-powered vehicles due to its significant environmental impact and
efficiency. In fact, according to figures released by the Association of
Indonesia Automotive Manufacturers (Gaikindo), sales of EVs rose to
47,781 units from January to April 2026, up 89.4 percent on the previous
year. Moeldoko hopes that this electrification-focused exhibition can
make a tangible contribution to the growth of the EV industry and become
a strategic platform for industry players by delivering a Business to
Business (B2B), Business to Consumer (B2C), and Business to Government
(B2G) ecosystem. “How we mobilise in a way that is efficient and clean
can no longer be ignored. Especially amid geopolitical scenarios where
oil prices can no longer be controlled. Our choice is to stay idle or to
create breakthroughs. Hosting PEVS is one such breakthrough,” he said.
The B2B programme will foster collaboration and business expansion among
industry players, while B2C will give the public the opportunity to get
to know electric vehicle technology up close through hands-on
experiences and a range of educational information. To meet the needs of
the B2B and B2G sectors, PEVS 2026 also aims to widen collaboration
opportunities by connecting leaders in the electric vehicle industry,
investors, government, and automotive enthusiasts. Last year, data
showed that the exhibition was attended by 143 participants and
attracted more than 40,000 visitors. This year, entry to the exhibition
is free of charge for visitors who wish to explore the various
breakthroughs in the future mobility industry.
",
