State-owned banknote printer Perusahaan Umum Percetakan Uang Republik\nIndonesia (PERURI), in partnership with the Kreasi Tuli Indonesia (KTI)\nFoundation, has provided economic training in screen printing to persons\nwith disabilities.<\/p>\n
PERURI Head of Corporate Secretary Adi Sunardi said in a written\nstatement in Jakarta on Friday that the activity reflects the company\u2019s\ncommitment to expanding inclusive economic empowerment access for all\nlevels of society.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is part of our commitment to promote equal opportunity so that\nfriends with disabilities can continue to work and make a real\ncontribution to economic activity,\u201d Adi said.<\/p>\n
The training was designed to equip participants with basic\nscreen-printing skills. This practical expertise is expected to become a\nnew source of income, open up independent business opportunities, and\nserve as a strong foundation for competing in the job market.<\/p>\n
\u201cThrough this training, we hope the participants not only gain\napplicable technical skills, but also increased self-confidence,\u201d he\nadded.<\/p>\n
He also stated that the programme demonstrates the company\u2019s\ncommitment to community empowerment through basic skills that unlock\neconomic independence, amid the firm\u2019s ongoing transformation process.\nThis step is also cited as a tangible contribution by PERURI towards\nachieving the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly the pillars of\nDecent Work and Reduced Inequalities.<\/p>\n
In line with this, KTI Foundation Founder Inaraya said\nscreen-printing training was chosen because it is relatively easy to\nlearn and has promising business prospects.<\/p>\n
