Perumka gets new chief<\/p>\n
BANDUNG, West Java (JP): The state-owned railway company
\nPerusahaan Umum Kereta Api (Perumka) today gets its new board of
\ndirectors.<\/p>\n
Minister of Transportation Haryanto Dhanutirto is scheduled at
\nhis office in Jakarta to swear in Sumino Eko Saputro, 48, as
\nPerumka's new president, to replace Anwar Suprijadi, a
\nspokesperson for the company said yesterday.<\/p>\n
Sumino is Perumka's former technical director. Anwar, 47, will
\nbe assigned as an expert assistant on land transportation affairs
\nto the Minister of Transportation, the spokesperson said.<\/p>\n
As well as the new president, Eddy Haryono, Sahidi, Widjanarko
\nand Sumiarso Soni will also be installed as Perumka's directors
\nof finance, technical methods, operations and general affairs
\nrespectively.<\/p>\n
Perumka, which used to suffer losses annually, started to gain
\na profit last year, gaining Rp 3.8 billion (US$1.72 million).<\/p>\n
Perumka suffered losses of Rp 67 billion 1n 1990, Rp 7.7
\nbillion in 1991, Rp 4.4. billion in 1992 and Rp 1 billion in
\n1993. The company is expected to gain a profit of RP 10 billion
