        "content": "<p>PT Pertamina (Persero) through Refinery Unit VII Kilang Kasim\ncontinues to strengthen its commitment to supporting community\nindependence in the areas surrounding its operations. This commitment is\nrealised through assistance in developing the community programme for\nthe Forest Farmers Group (KTH) in the buffer area of the East Waigeo\nIsland conservation zone, Waifoi Village, Mayalibit Bay, Raja Ampat\nRegency, Southwest Papua, on Saturday (25\/4\/2026). The programme focuses\non community-based eco-tourism development, one aspect of which is the\nconstruction of homestays directly managed by residents. This initiative\nis seen as capable of optimising Raja Ampat\u2019s natural potential without\nneglecting local wisdom and environmental preservation. PT Pertamina\n(Persero) Commissioner Nanik S Deyang appreciated the preserved natural\npotential of Waifoi Village. \u201cThis is extraordinary, because the social\nprogramme is truly tailored to the environment. It emphasises management\nof homestays by the community and ownership by the community,\u201d she\nstated in a written remark received by Kompas.com on Wednesday\n(29\/4\/2026). Nanik added that the presence of the homestay with eight\nrooms and a rate of around Rp 550,000 per night can serve as additional\nincome for the managing community group. This income can also be used to\nsupport residents\u2019 needs, including the education of local children.\n\u201cThis is an example of targeted CSR. It provides economic added value\nwhile preserving the environment and culture,\u201d Nanik explained. Through\nthe programme, Pertamina provides support in the form of homestay\nconstruction, kitchen, and supporting facilities such as outboard motors\nand diesel engines. \u201cPertamina has helped us through the construction of\nthe homestay, kitchen, and other facilities. Since it started developing\nin 2018, this homestay has continued to operate until now,\u201d explained\nZakaria.
